All must have a professional although compassionate attitude and each must have a desire to work in an area where their understanding will enhance the quality of life for their client.The Good Companions Staff

Each Carer will have different skills and care experiences. The level of experience and formal training for each will depend on the level of service being provided. Carers with limited experience will only be selected for clients who mainly require companionship, household management and very limited personal care.

Good Companions Provide

Interview and Checks

Interviews are carried out with one of our Care Managers in locations around the United Kingdom. You will be required to bring with you: Good Companions Carer At the interview we will complete a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) Check and Protection of Vulnerable Adults (POVA) check. Carers are expected to pay for the CRB and POVA – however if you work for us continually for one month the cost of this will be reimbursed to you. The Good Companions uses an umbrella body for CRB checks and does not financially benefit from this charge. The current cost of completing these checks is £62 and candidates are asked to pay for this during the interview.

We will also require two references – One must be your most recent employer.

If you are successful you will be invited for training.

Good Companions has a wide variety of care workers from a range of cultural backgrounds including United Kingdom, South Africa, Zimbabwe, New Zealand, Australia, Poland, Spain and France.
