How we operate

Our service is ideal whether care is required for medium, long term or for short periods.

We provide two different services – The Standard Introductory Service and the Platinum Service.

There are differences between the two services but the following points are similar to both services. Carers are very flexible and they will expect to work around the day to day living requirements and schedule of the client.

Staff development and training is essential to providing a high quality service–all staff have access to a wide range of training opportunities and we will provide or advise on specific training to meet an individual clients care requirements.

Good Communication is absolutely essential – Care Managers will maintain regular personal channels of communication with clients and their families.

Levels Of Service: Platinum and Introductory Services

We provide 3 main levels of service:

Respite or Short Term Care

is provided for Support Levels 1, 2 and 3. This is an essential component of our service delivery design. To ensure an appropriate and safe service is delivered standards of assessment need to be equally rigorous. If short term care is booked in advance and is part of a regular ongoing package of planned care there will normally only be one Care Needs Assessment conducted. Please Note that a Respite or a Short Term Care Package is any period of 28 days or less.

Immediate or Emergency Care

– in some situations there may an increased urgency to establish provision of a service i.e: when family members fall ill or when clients receive very little warning from hospitals about their discharge date. An experienced carer is able to travel at short notice. The carer will be capable of negotiating with other health professionals and assessing the immediate needs of the client to deliver a service until an appropriate assessment is conducted by a care manager – normally within three working days. This carer is usually replaced as soon as possible. Please note there are separate rates for this service and it is only available as an Introductory Service.

Platinum Service Only

Support Level 4 - Special Needs or Complex Care where specific skills are required–This is a specialist form of care that is specifically designed to meet the needs of one individual. This is frequently delivered by teams who may be specifically recruited and trained to deliver the special needs required by the client and their family. This form of care is often commissioned by Social Services.
